Getting Started in Hero Legends
Day-one choices that save hours - side pick, first cash, and smart early buys.
Welcome to the city
Hero Legends is an early-access Roblox PVP/RPG from United Super Hero Association. You spawn into an open city, pick a side, unlock powers, rob or defend locations, and fight other players with M1, block, and abilities. This guide is the day-one plan so you do not waste your first cash stack on dead-end shop buys.
If you arrived from a Superhero Legends codes article by mistake, you are in a different game. Confirm place ID 120867750718410 and join the Discord from the links hub when you want live patch news.
Step 1 - Pick hero or villain with intent
Both sides are viable. Your first hour should match how you like to learn:
Villain first if you want a clear cash fantasy. Robberies teach map geography fast: Bank, Jewelry, Vault, Cargo ship, Military Base, and more. You will feel bounty and prison sooner, which is good training - just keep the escape prison page handy.
Hero first if you prefer responding to alarms, learning chase angles, and arresting downed villains. Heroes who learn tower signals after V2-style updates rotate better and still earn while practicing combat.
You can switch later when server balance tools allow. Do not stress a permanent “main” on day one.
Step 2 - Learn the combat verbs before the flashy shop
Open Controls and practice:
- M1 strings (basic attacks)
- Block timing
- Equipped ability keys for whatever starter powers you have
Hero Legends rewards players who treat fights like a skill duel, not an autofire simulator. Even a “weak” early power beats a distracted NanoTech owner who never blocks. When you are ready for real fight theory, continue with the PVP guide.
Step 3 - First cash without getting tilted
Your first goal is a reliable cash loop, not a two-million NanoTech flex.
- Complete any onboarding prompts the current build shows.
- Locate a low-pressure robbery or hero task near spawn so you learn selling / reward turn-in flow.
- Follow the route ideas in How to Make Money - Vault, Bank, Jewelry, Cargo ship, then Military Base when you can handle turrets and heroes.
- Sell often. Sitting on a full bag while chatting is how bounties and heroes delete your progress.
Military Base green canisters are a major payday (community guides cite about 10,000 cash each, with bigger-bag passes holding more). Learn the turret lever and door break flow on How to Rob before you greed two canisters in a full server.
Step 4 - Skip Magic Blast (and be suspicious of Energy Blast)
New players often buy Magic Blast because it is visible, cheap relative to endgame kits, and feels “superhero.” In practice it is one of the worst early investments for progression speed. The same warning applies to dumping starter funds into Energy Blast or stacking pure Regeneration before you own any offense or stealth.
Better early priorities:
- Invisibility for robbery work - fewer contested exits, cleaner bag deliveries, more cash per minute.
- A real combat foundation later (Super Strength, Super Speed, Pyrokinesis, or saving toward Gravity / Doom / NanoTech per the tier list).
- Extra power slots when your build plan needs them - especially before NanoTech, which consumes all three slots.
Step 5 - Buy Invisibility for robbing
If you are playing villain or hybrid robbery routes, Invisibility is the day-one force multiplier. It will not win every fair fight against a stacked NanoTech user, but it dramatically improves:
- Approaching robbery interiors without announcing yourself
- Leaving with loot when heroes start rotating
- Repositioning after a failed door break or turret mistake
Combine Invisibility with map knowledge from the money and robbery guides. Stealth without a sell-point plan still fails.
Step 6 - Plan early powers like a budget
Think in buy orders, not vibes:
- Mobility or stealth tool that funds the account (Invisibility / Super Speed / Flight depending on cash).
- One honest damage or control power for street fights.
- Long-term save for S-tier targets: NanoTech, Gravity, or a well-understood Doom setup - details on best powers and best builds.
Avoid gambling your entire wallet on a single lucky roll if the gambling power system is active. Reliable robberies beat coin-flip progression.
Step 7 - Learn the social systems early
Read the Players Hub overview so reputation, bounty, and prison do not surprise you mid-heist. Key habits:
- Do not AFK with loot
- Respect downed timers - heroes will arrest you
- As a hero, take the arrest when it is free instead of chasing into a 1v3
Step 8 - Optional: codes and Discord
There is no widely verified public codes list for Hero Legends as of October 2026. Join Discord via the links hub and skim the Codes Hub so you do not redeem Superhero Legends strings by mistake.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What should I buy first in Hero Legends?
For robbery-focused starts, prioritize Invisibility over Magic Blast. Then fund a real combat power using the money guides.
Is Magic Blast good for beginners?
No. It is a common trap purchase. Skip it and invest in stealth or stronger combat options.
Hero or villain for new players?
Villain teaches cash routes quickly; hero teaches response and arrests. Both are fine - commit for a session, not forever.
When should I save for NanoTech?
After you have stable income and preferably three power slots. NanoTech is expensive and occupies all slots.
Are there beginner codes?
No widely verified public codes list exists yet. Watch Discord and ignore Superhero Legends code tables.
