How this tier list works

Hero Legends is an early-access Roblox PVP/RPG, so rankings shift after patches like V2, clone nerfs, Spider rework, and boss events. This hub is the overview. For full write-ups, open best powers, best builds, and the dedicated NanoTech guide.

We rank primarily for open-world PVP value, robbery safety, and cash efficiency - not for pure fashion. A power that looks flashy in a private showcase can still lose to Gravity pull setups or NanoTech plasma pressure in a real city fight.

Quick tier summary (powers)

S tier

  • NanoTech - Best overall kit for many players. Takes all three power slots, costs a huge cash pile (community showcases cite around 2,000,000), and brings missiles, lasers, rockets, repulsors, and plasma cannons plus elevated health. Buy a third slot before you purchase it when possible.
  • Gravity - Elite crowd control with pull, crush, and black hole tools. Excellent at yanking runners, setting up teammates, and locking lanes near robbery exits.
  • Doom - Extremely strong and often controversial depending on the current patch. Pairs well with cash-focused playstyles; check recent updates before you commit your entire bankroll.

High A tier

  • Super Strength - Still a block-breaking menace in M1 strings even after historical health nerfs. Great foundation for Martial Arts hybrids.
  • Super Speed - Map mobility, robbery escapes, and aggressive gap closes. Less raw burst than NanoTech, but unmatched for rotating objectives.
  • Pyrokinesis - Strong mid-game damage-over-time pick; shines in group boss damage such as Thragg.

Situational / mid

  • Martial Arts, Flight, Spider (post-rework), Electrokinesis, Cryokinesis, Acid, Poison Gas, and similar kits - useful in specific loadouts or events, but usually not your first two-million-cash goal.
  • Duplicate / Clones - Watch patch notes; clone-focused strategies have eaten nerfs and should not be assumed infinite.

Skip or delay for most players

  • Magic Blast - Common beginner trap. Low impact for the cash spent when Invisibility or a real combat power would accelerate your account more.
  • Energy Blast - Overlapping fantasy with better options already on the ladder.
  • Regeneration - Passive healing sounds great until you realize offense and mobility win more street fights and robbery races.

How to use the tier list without wasting cash

  1. Finish the getting started checklist so you are not broke after one bad shop purchase.
  2. Farm a reliable loop from how to make money - Military Base canisters are a major cash spike when done correctly.
  3. Decide whether you are a robbery specialist, hero bounty hunter, or street PVP main before buying NanoTech.
  4. Recheck the Updates Hub after every featured patch - Doom controversy, Spider rework, gambling power system, and clone nerfs all change value.
  5. Practice M1, block, and ability cancels in the PVP guide so your S-tier kit is not piloted like a C-tier kit.

Ranking philosophy and bias notes

  • Cash cost matters. A power that is “technically strong” but bankrupts you for days may be worse than an A-tier you can afford tonight.
  • Slot tax matters. NanoTech’s three-slot lock is a feature and a constraint - you cannot casually splash a mobility power beside it.
  • Boss content differs from street PVP. DoT kits (Pyrokinesis, Acid, Poison) punch above their PVP tier on Thragg.
  • Early access volatility. United Super Hero Association ships frequent updates; revisit this hub after changelog spikes.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best power in Hero Legends right now?

NanoTech is the consensus S-tier all-rounder for many players, with Gravity and Doom also fighting for top status depending on the patch.

Should beginners buy NanoTech first?

Usually no. Farm safer early cash with Invisibility and mid-tier combat powers first, then save for NanoTech's high price and three-slot requirement.

Where is the full ranking?

Open best powers for S-C details and best builds for complete loadouts.

Why is Magic Blast ranked poorly?

It is a common early purchase that underperforms compared with Invisibility for robberies or real combat powers for PVP.

How often is this tier list updated?

After major patches called out on the Updates Hub, especially balance nerfs and new power releases.
