Fund everything with How to Make Money before you stare at the two-million NanoTech price tag.

Build 1 鈥?NanoTech full (late-game default)

Goal: Best generalist PVP + objective pressure.

Core: NanoTech only (consumes all three slots).

Requirements:

  • Large cash pile (community showcases cite ~2,000,000)
  • Preferably three power slots unlocked before purchase
  • Comfort with ranged confirms and cooldown discipline

Buy order:

  1. Early Invisibility or Speed to print cash
  2. Slot unlocks
  3. Sell into NanoTech
  4. Respec mindset: you no longer splash side powers

Play pattern:

  • Hold plasma and heavy tools for real confirms
  • Use M1 pressure to crack blocks, then spend majors
  • On robberies, decide whether you are the fighter escort or the courier 鈥?NanoTech can do both, but not if you greed every sky laser

When to skip: If you are still learning map routes, a cheaper A-tier fighter plus Invisibility may raise your account faster for a week.

Build 2 鈥?Doom + Millionaire cash aggression

Goal: Convert combat dominance into economy momentum while Doom is healthy on the patch.

Core: Doom as the headline power, supported by cash-route habits and optional mobility.

Buy order:

  1. Stable robbery tool (Invisibility)
  2. Doom when affordable / confirmed strong on current patch
  3. Mobility filler if slots remain
  4. Keep selling loot 鈥?the 鈥淢illionaire鈥?fantasy is discipline, not a shop title screen

Play pattern:

  • Take fights that protect or contest high-value objectives
  • Avoid gambling your Doom bankroll into the gambling power system on tilt nights
  • Re-evaluate after Doom event endings or nerf notes on the Updates Hub

Risk: Patch volatility. Always duel-check Doom after big balance weeks.

Build 3 鈥?Gravity combo (teamfight captain)

Goal: Control space, yank couriers, lock corners.

Core: Gravity + a damage partner (friend with NanoTech/Pyro/Strength) or a personal follow-up power if slots allow.

Buy order:

  1. Mobility or stealth for survival while saving
  2. Gravity
  3. Damage filler if available

Play pattern:

  • Pull enemies off Vault / Military Base exits
  • Save black hole for corners or stacked groups
  • Crush as a lock, not a nervous tic
  • In duos, call pulls so your partner鈥檚 burst lands

Best modes: Hero defense rotations, villain exit denial, chaotic full servers.

Build 4 鈥?Martial Arts + Super Strength (melee lab)

Goal: Skill-expression brawling without waiting for NanoTech money.

Core: Super Strength foundation + Martial Arts.

Buy order:

  1. Super Strength
  2. Martial Arts (shop or possible Thragg roll)
  3. Tiny mobility spice if a slot remains

Play pattern:

  • Learn block-break timing from Strength M1s
  • Use Martial Arts tools to mix pressure
  • Favor tight interiors over long NanoTech sight lines
  • Drill habits from the PVP guide

Bonus: If Thragg drops Martial Arts or Flight, fold them into this plan instead of panic-selling your identity.

Build 5 鈥?Beginner invis robber (day-one printer)

Goal: Survive early economy and learn the map.

Core: Invisibility first; add Super Speed or a cheap damage power second.

Buy order:

  1. Skip Magic Blast
  2. Buy Invisibility
  3. Run Jewelry 鈫?Bank 鈫?Vault practice 鈫?Military Base tutorial runs
  4. Add Speed or Pyro once cash is stable
  5. Only then save for Gravity / Doom / NanoTech

Play pattern:

  • Objective first, pride kills never
  • Turret lever before canister greed (How to Rob)
  • Sell immediately
  • Read Escape Prison the first time you get arrested mid-tutorial

This is the build Getting Started is steering you toward.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the best Hero Legends build overall?

NanoTech full is the premier late-game generalist. Beginners should run the invis robber plan until they can afford it.

Does NanoTech allow other powers?

No. It takes all three slots, so plan slot unlocks and accept the lock-in.

What is a good beginner build?

Invisibility first, then Super Speed or a mid damage power. Skip Magic Blast.

Is Doom + Millionaire still viable?

When Doom is healthy on the current patch, yes. Recheck after event endings and nerfs.

Where should Martial Arts + Strength players fight?

Tight interiors and close brawls. Avoid giving NanoTech free long sight lines when you can force corners.
